For many manuscripts I edit, I aim to provide both copyediting and developmental editing all in one read, to keep costs down for the author. I am usually able to do that for YA books since the plots are simpler than novels. Most of my writing involves young characters and heightened emotions, and thus I typically resonate strongly with the YA books I edit.
